How a session runs: people make the calls themselves, with the information they'd really have. A wrong call costs minutes in a room, not money on site. The debrief ties each call to the practice behind it.
I've spent six years on project strategy and implementation in IT and in architecture, engineering and construction. Across very different organizations, the same problems kept showing up: training that never reached the work, procedures nobody followed, and best practices nobody had checked.
So I check them. Every recommendation we make cites an entry in our own Best Practices and Standards Database, with its sources and its limits. And I've spent five years designing role-play scenarios, because people learn the calls that matter by making them, not by watching slides.
